Budget Director

A client of Insight Global is looking for a Budget Director to join their organization. This role involved planning, developing, and managing operational budgets to align with the organization strategic plans. Key responsibilities include building relationships within the organization to understand priorities for budget, proactively understand priority positions with human resources, and looking for efficiency. The Budget Director will also develop policies to improve budget management, creates monthly and annual budget reports, and oversees long-range financial projections. Strong analytical skills, knowledge of State University System policies, and proficiency with financial systems are essential. A bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, Management, or Business Administration and seven years of accounting experience are required, with a preference for experience in higher education and fund accounting. This position reports to the Controller and oversees the Budget Analyst. This will require 3 days on site and two day remote in Lakeland.
