Rite Rug, the largest privately owned flooring installation company in the U.S., with a strong 90-year history, is seeking a sales professional to cover our Chicago, Southern Wisconsin, & Northwest Indiana territories.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Midwest Vice President of Sales, this position would be primarily focused on single family, multi-family new construction and light commercial work. This is not an in-store position. The Ideal candidate would have knowledge of the flooring industry and /or preexisting relationships with the local construction market. We will train the right person in any area required.
Success = Excelling at both cultivating existing relationships and generating new leads/growing new accounts to fruition.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Market floor covering, turn-key installation and additional accessories to local Builders.
* Develop and maintain positive customer relationships.
* Understand all Riterug products, accessories, and services; along with market competition and how to utilize products to support and grow the company.
* Achieve and exceed Company directed performance goals.
* Review and analyze sales and usage reports in order to manage + maintain profitability.
* Create bids and Builder product programs.
* Develop + communicate product knowledge to customers.
* Implement process and onboarding with Internal Operations team.
* Manage quality communication with customers and internal team members.
* Execute onboarding process and procedures for new and existing clients.
* Expand customer base by converting prospects into new clients.
* Continue maintaining customer relationships on a direct level, while also maintaining a presence with the internal operations team during entire customer process - start to finish.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
* Have earned a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Presentation skills, price negotiation, and organization are a MUST!
* Experience in the flooring industry is a plus.
* Problem-solving skills with a solutionist reputation
* Must be results-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
* Good communication and people skills
* Experience with the Builder industry and basic construction knowledge is preferred.
* Efficient organizational and time management skills
* Execute effective and professional oral and written communication skills.
* Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs
* Self - Motivated and Reliable
* Able to effectively communicate with clients, internal staff, and subcontractors.
* Comfortability in public speaking and social engagements
