Major areas of responsibility include the upkeep of the procedures, documentation and work associated with the Building Automation Systems.This individual will be responsible for overseeing and working with external automation contract personnel and vendors. The individual will work collaboratively with their immediate manager, team members and internal and external customers to achieve team goals and objectives. The incumbent must be available 24/7 for emergencies or to support critical site needs.Shifts Available:TBD Responsibilities: Working under minimal direction and guidance and be self-motivated, responsibilities shall include but not be limited to the following:
  • Provide daily alarm management oversight.
  • Create and provide reports from the BAS to support technical reviews as required.
  • Respond to Customer requests in a professional and timely manner.
  • Review and approval of BAS test documents and associated work orders.
  • Provide metrics as requested to track equipment performance.
  • Respond in accordance to cGMP policies and procedures.
  • Inspect, maintain, test, troubleshoot, adjust, repair and/or replace instrumentation associated with building and or process automation systems.
  • Oversee control technician contract staff and vendors to manage the operation and maintenance of the Building Automation System.
  • Capable of working on Building Automation Systems (BAS) to support calibrations, trouble shoot systems, collect trend reports and provide system health assessments.
  • Troubleshoot digital controls, electronic systems and automation.
  • Act as liaison between IT and Facilities to maintain the Building Automation System network infrastructure and application revisions.
  • Supervise the installation of new equipment monitored by the Building Automation System including environmental points, building automation panels, workstations.
  • Complete necessary paperwork, i.e., Log Books, Work Orders, BAS/QBAS Point Addition Documentation in accordance with cGMP good documentation practices.
  • Must be competent in working in the electronic CMMS to track scheduled work and execute work orders electronically.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Train colleagues and vendors for building automation system access.
  • Work with internal and external partners. Provide cGMP oversight of external vendors to ensure they are operating within the cGMP policies and procedures of the area
  • Other duties as assigned.
Basic Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 experience with Building Automation Systems, preferably Siemens software.
  • Be proficient in cGMP guidelines in accordance with company policy and procedures.
  • Provide direct oversite of technicians and external vendors to ensure compliance.
  • Complete and review documentation associated with work orders to ensure cGMP good documentation practices and change control procedures are being followed.
  • Expert written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • High proficiency in CMMS.
