The Building Engineer is responsible for ensuring the physical structure of the ASC is in accordance with applicable safety standards and maintained to guarantee patient safety. The Building Engineer will maintain and/or create programs such as disaster and emergency preparedness and run periodic drills to ensure staff knows their role in these procedures. Essential duties include:
- Schedule required inspections and PM for building equipment including elevator, generator, HVAC and fire alarm systems.
- Ensure that all maintenance/ storage areas are kept clean, organized, & OSHA compliant.
- Serve as contact person for ongoing service vendors (elevator, med gas, pest control, alarm, etc.)
- Accept daily deliveries
- Manage vendors doing repair work
- Complete check requisitions for goods and services
- Maintain the following FDNY Certificates of Fitness: Q-01 Refrigeration system operating, Supervision of Fire Alarm System, Standpipe and Sprinkler, Boiler
- Other tasks as assigned
Salary Description $80k-$95k/year
