Job Overview
As a Building Envelope Consultant, you will become a key part of a supportive, collaborative team in the Envelope division. This position involves working on diverse projects, from new construction of building facades to modernizing and maintaining existing structures. Responsibilities
- Gain a deep understanding of various phases of exterior wall construction, including shop drawings, modeling, design development, and construction documentation.
- Perform on-site inspections and field assessments to monitor project progress.
- Maintain detailed project records, including reports, schedules, work estimates, and other documentation.
- Stay informed on relevant building codes within the assigned regions.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers to provide updates and ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and project teams.
- Support cross-functional efforts to meet client requirements and adhere to project timelines.
- Present technical details to clients and design professionals related to project challenges and solutions.
- Occasionally present technical case studies or white papers to internal teams.
- Participate in company-led training, seminars, and team discussions.
- Consistently achieve expected levels of productivity and project involvement.
- Take on additional tasks as directed by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (preferably Architectural, Civil, or Mechanical).
- 1-5 years of experience in building envelope design, engineering, inspection, or related fields.
- Solid understanding of architectural and structural theories as they pertain to exterior wall construction.
- Strong ability to interpret architectural drawings.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and drafting/modeling tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM software.
