From your PASSION to oursThe Maintenance Technician will be responsible for a variety of tasks that include all aspects of building maintenance. To include but not limited to: painting, floor repairs, wall repairs, demolition and construction of structures (within reasonable limits), building wiring as applicable, roof repairs, and other related workFrom your EXPERTISE to ours Key Responsibilities, this includes the following, other duties may be assigned.• Painting of buildings and related equipment as needed• Abilities in carpentry and drywall• Abilities in masonry must possess skills necessary to repair tile walls and floors• Performs all small utility jobs as deemed necessary to support proper building maintenance.• Knowledge of some of the maintenance routines• Fills in for regular maintenance mechanics in the event of vacation or sickness• Ability to do floor repairs using modern epoxy technology• Attends departmental meetings as required• Performs all duties according to safety standards and as required to ensure the general safety of other staffCandidate must have the following attributes/skills; strong attention to detail and accuracy, personal qualities of tact and dependability, possess good manual dexterity, vision abilities (close, distance color and ability to focus ), able to push/pull/lift and carry at least 50 pounds occasionally and 100 pounds with assistance, be able to stand for entire shift, be able to perform repetitive movements (e.g. twisting, gripping, lifting, bending, reaching, climbing) and must be able to work over 40 hours per week (weekends are required). RequirementsFrom your STORY to ours Qualified applicants will contribute the following: Education:• High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) required, trade school preferredExperience:• General building repairs and maintenanceSpecialized Knowledge:• Computer software skills• Basic mathematical skills are required (must be able to convert US to metric, read a tape measure, caliper and micrometer)Skills/Abilities:• Strong attention to detail and accuracy• Clear communication abilities (written and verbal)• Ability to work independently with minimal supervisionThe ideal candidate will be proactive and dynamic, flexible and receptive to new ideas, down to earth and pragmatic, analytical and attentive to detail. He or she will also be capable of working independently in adherence to regulations, of managing stress and remaining calm under pressure, and be able to demonstrate an inquiring mind and well-developed observational skills. Will demonstrate a sense of responsibility and high professional standards, honesty and integrity, and objectivity. Possess values of ambition and engagement, with simplicity.Sign On Bonus & Pay:We are offering a $2,000* Hiring Bonus to candidates for hourly positions. *Bonus amount is a gross amount. $1,000 will be paid out in following paycheck 90 days after hire; an additional $1,000 will be paid out in following paycheck 180 days after hire. *Temporary, part-time and certain rehired employees are not eligible. *Attendance and performance rules apply. Pay: $24.45 to $27.00/hour dependent upon skills and abilities. Weekend Premium 20% more (+$4.89/hr to $5.40/hr). Lactalis offers very competitive pay, benefits and paid time off. Hours: Sunday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.Salary Description $24.45 to $27.00 / hour
