Works independently and keep supervisor abreast of any issues as it relates to custodial services. May serve as front line supervisor of a small group of custodial workers. Must be able to read and write legibly and able to follow oral and written instructions.1. Performs housekeeping duties as required to provide a safe, sanitary, clean, and pleasant environment for the consumers and staff to live and work through a structured cleaning program, maintain units in acceptable condition as outlined by South Carolina Department of Public Health standards.2. Maintains floors in unit by dust mopping, wet mopping, and buffing. Walls, doors, furniture, and beds are to be cleaned as scheduled. Picture frames, furniture, mirrors, and ledges should be dusted daily. Clean restrooms and showers.3. Search, remove, and dispose of debris from outside of unit. Empty cigarette disposals. Keep supply and janitorial closet organized and clean. Issue supplies daily.4. Organize duties to avoid conflict with unit programs. Follow-up in allowed time on inspections of units given by supervision.
