Position Summary

The Building and Grounds Supervisor position supervises and works alongside bureau employees and outside contractors involved in the repair, maintenance, grounds care and operations of the Eau Claire State Office Building as well as other buildings as assigned. This position also provides backup and support coverage to other FM3 buildings such as La Crosse, Wisconsin Rapids and Green Bay State Office Buildings.

The Building and Grounds Supervisor assists with development of preventative maintenance programs, mechanical and grounds repair and maintenance, coordination and supervision of tenant remodeling projects and operation of a computerized building automation system. This position is also responsible and accountable for monitoring and complying with Federal and State regulations and codes including CFCs, Hazardous Materials, ADA and other life safety issues.

Salary Information

The B/G Supervisor is in schedule-range (81-04) with a salary between $58,240 and $67,600. A 12-month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.

Job Details

Qualifications

Qualified applicants will have training or experience in the following:

* Management of building operations (e.g. facilities management, repairs, preventative maintenance, facilities contracts or similar)

* Project management (e.g. estimating cost of construction, maintenance and improvements, building construction equipment experience, application of building codes and standards for electrical, heating, air conditioning, etc. or similar)

* Providing customer service (e.g., providing instructions, answering questions, resolving concerns)

Well qualified applicants will have:

* Experience in a leadership or supervisory role (e.g., delegating and assigning work, mentoring, and training, leading team projects or workgroups, etc.)
