Job Description:

Nesco Resource, a national staffing firm, has partnered with a leading retail manufacturing client in order to identify a Building Maintenance Manager/Facilities Manager.Seeking an experienced Building Maintenance/ Facilities Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations and maintenance of two privately owned facilities including a 52k square foot office building and a 57k square foot distribution center. The ideal candidate will ensure that both facilities are safe, well-maintained, and compliant with all regulations while optimizing efficiency and productivity.Position Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Facility Operations Management:• Oversee and coordinate all building maintenance and repairs (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security systems) for both the office/DC facilities.• Ensure both facilities are fully operational with all utilities functioning properly.• Schedule and supervise maintenance and repair work, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.• Manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and service providers.Safety and Compliance:• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including OSHA standards, for both locations.• Conduct regular safety inspections and drills.• Implement and maintain security systems and procedures.• Develop and enforce emergency response and evacuation plans.Distribution Center Management:• Oversee the maintenance and operation of the distribution center's infrastructure and equipment.• Ensure efficient layout and utilization of space to optimize product flow and storage.• Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to support smooth distribution processes.Budget and Resource Management:• Develop and manage facilities budget, including maintenance and utility costs.• Monitor and control expenses within the approved budget.• Oversee inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment for both locations.Team Management:• Recruit, train, and supervise facilities staff at both locations.• Set performance standards and conduct regular performance reviews.• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.Strategic Planning and Improvement:• Plan and oversee facility refurbishments and renovations for both the office/DC facilities.• Recommend and implement improvements for efficiency and cost savings.• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in facilities management.Qualifications and Competencies:Education:• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.Experience:• Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management or a related field.• Proven experience managing a large office and DC facilities.• Experience in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.Skills:• Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).• Excellent project management and organizational skills.• Strong leadership and team management skills.• Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.• Proficiency in facilities management software and Microsoft Office SuiteWorking Conditions:• Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends as needed.• Physical ability to conduct regular site inspections and oversee maintenance activities.• Must possess and maintain a clean driving record.• Occasional travel between the office/DC facilities as required.• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.• Forklift certifiedNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.Nesco Resource provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
