We have been in business for over 41 years and offer a competitive employment package including: Medical, Dental,Vision, 401K, Flexible Schedule and more Arbors Management is looking for an experienced Building Maintenance Technician located in Pittsburgh, PA for a full-time position at an independent living high-rise property. This position will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of a 100-unit residential building. Skills required are listed below. Hours are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. On-call time will be required for evening and weekend emergencies and is shared with other maintenance staff. An effective Building Maintenance Technician will: Ensure apartment turnovers are completed within an average of 5-7 working days Complete day-to-day work orders Emergency work orders completed ASAP (On-call) Upkeep of all grounds and common areas including but not limited to windows, floors, restroom, sidewalks, snow and grass Maintain adequate inventory for common repairs and consistent organization of the maintenance shop Cultivate and sustain positive relationships with all outside vendors and contractors Communicate regularly with Property Managers and the Maintenance Director Skills needed to be successful as the Building Maintenance Technician include: Intermediate to advanced knowledge of: Plumbing repair Electrical repair Drywall hanging and repair Painting Basic HVAC knowledge preferred Willingness and ability to handle trash compactor, dumpsters, custodial work and grounds-keeping Snow removal and lawn care included Use of a laptop and/or a cell phone regularly Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent 3 years experience working in a building maintenance position Physical ability to lift 60 lbs., stand, bend, walk, stoop, crawl and/or climb for the duration of an 8-hour shift Must pass pre-employment drug and background screen Must have valid drivers license, insurance and personal vehicle Requirements: PIefcac8461e6e-31181-#######7
