Buffalo Framing & Truss LLC has helped build Central Texas by providing turnkey framing trusses and wall panels for over 30 years We understand that the way to continue our success is by hiring outstanding individuals that are committed to excellence If this sounds like a company you would like to be a part of please apply We are seeking a Lead Building Material Estimator to join our team Job Summary The Lead Building Material Estimator will prepare material take offs for single family and multi family projects The Lead Building Material Estimator reports directly to the Director of Building Materials Responsibilities Create material take offs for framing lumber sheathing hardware weather resistive barriers and sidingUnderstand architectural and engineering blueprints specifications UL assemblies and scope requirementsWork with procurement team to perform cost analysis material selection and create project material budgetsMaintain bidding and job costing data filesCommunicate with designers field staff and customersTrack and release material for job site deliveriesQualifications and Experience Bachelors degree in construction management or equivalent project management or business preferred but not requiredFour years of estimating experience requiredStrong mathematical skills and visualization skills requiredAbility to meet deadlinesExcellent verbal and written communicationOrganized and detail orientedProficient with Microsoft ExcelWillingness to learn new softwareUnderstanding of wood constructionExperience with estimating softwares PlanSwiftGeneral knowledge of IRC and IBC codesPhysical Requirements Extended periods of time working on a computerLift up to 15 poundsBenefits Health Insurance Medical Dental and VisionFSALife and Disability Insurance401kPTO and Paid HolidaysImportant This is a full time onsite position located in Pflugerville TX
