Overview:

Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available for a Building Performance Engineer.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing energy analysis and building performance design consulting for commercial new construction projects and major renovations for high performance and zero net energy and carbon projects
• Understanding of current ASHRAE guidelines and communicate to clients
• Reading and understanding construction documents, floor plans, specifications, and detail
• Documenting and submitting projects for LEED, permit, United Facility Criteria, or Federal Guiding Principles

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have:

• A bachelors degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering or architecture from an accredited four-year college or university
• At least 0-1 years of relevant experience
• Building energy modeling experience using OpenStudio / EnergyPlus
• Building information model and CAD experience (REVIT and Sketchup)

Desirable qualifications:

• PE License or BEMP certification
• Ruby or Python experience
• Rhino / Grasshopper
• Ladybug tools / Pollination
• LEED AP certified

Pay range depending on experience: $68,000 - $80,000
