Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supervising, coordinating and assisting with interior/exterior cleaning of assigned facilities and performing additional tasks as assigned.Job Related Requirements Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 4:00 pm May be required to work on religious holidays.Regular and predictable attendance is required.Must work cooperatively with others.When requirements include vehicle operation, responsible for the safety, readiness and operation of the vehicle and must abide by ACC's safe driving policy.Minimum Training & Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions High school diploma or equivalent with three years of building maintenance experience required; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.Supervisory experience is preferred.Must possess or be able to obtain Non Security Officer (NSO) to oversee inmates. Must be certified in Green Cleaning by an appropriate certification agency or attain certification within six (6) months of date of hire. Must possess a valid driver's license. Essential Duties, ResponsibilitiesThe following duties are normal for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.Supervises Building Service Workers and temporary staff.Supervises and evaluates assigned staff, handling all employee concerns, directing work assignments, counseling and disciplining employees when necessary, and completing employee performance appraisals.Organizes, assigns, supervises, and assists with the work of building maintenance staff in cleaning interior offices and hallways etc. and exterior walkways, structures, parking decks, etc. of unified government buildings.Selects, assembles, and issues cleaning supplies and equipment; maintains control of supply inventory.Performs the duties of the Building Service Workers in their absence.Ensures that cleaning equipment is in proper working order and keeps preventive maintenance records.Oversees inmate labor assigned to various custodial service tasks; trains inmates in the skills needed for tasks.Performs other duties as required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures of the Facilities Management Division of the Central Services Department.Knowledge of management, personnel and financial practices, policies and procedures as necessary in the completion of daily responsibilities.Knows how to keep abreast of any changes in policy, methods, operations, budgetary and equipment needs, etc. as they pertain to departmental operations and activities.Knowledge of building maintenance methods and practices, including safety rules, cleaning supplies, equipment for cleaning such as, vacuum cleaners, buffers, pressure washers, etc., and supervision of building service workers.Knowledge of green cleaning and the ability to perform green cleaning using industry standards and techniques.Knowledge of all applicable laws, ordinances, policies, standards and regulations pertaining to the specific duties and responsibilities of the job.Has good organizational, management, human relations, and technical skills.Ability to administer operations and staff plans and objectives expediently and effectively.Ability to administer policies, procedures, plans and activities and to monitor performance of subordinates against measured established goals.
