SUMMARY

The Bundle Team Leader will assist the cutting table with guidance and leadership by providing support and training to bundle team members to ensure that the cut material is labeled, packaged, and meets quality standards for the production floor. The candidate in this position must be sensitive to working with individuals with disabilities, various skill levels, and cultural backgrounds. The person in this position must lead by example, maintain a positive attitude, and utilize a teamwork approach at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Provide support, training, and assistance to bundle team members to ensure cut material is labeled correctly, packaged correctly; inspected and acceptable for the production floor.

* Ensure that correct parts and quantity are in each bin and verify kanban

* Must have excellent knowledge and understanding of the cutting process

* Effectively work together with all team members to achieve production and quality standards.

* Examining and re-checking bundles to verify compliance with quality standards.

* Required to set label guns as needed

* Must continuously watch for cutting errors and assist with solutions to correct errors

* Notify supervisor of any defects in process

* Must be sensitive to working with individuals with disabilities, various skill levels, and cultural backgrounds.

* Maintain a safe and healthy work area and report any safety concerns to the supervisor. Assist in maintaining ISO9001 and QMS requirements.

* Practice Lean Principles and 5S Practices

* Assist the supervisor with other duties as assigned as needed.

* Participation in Peckhams safety programs and ergonomic activities is required.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Must pass the Cutting Table Bundle Team Leader Skills Assessment.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read limited number of two or three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations is using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to effectively communicate to others. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
