New York Life is a relationship-based company and appreciates how both virtual and in-person interactions support our culture.This position involves a hybrid work schedule - working on site one day per week.The Group Membership Association Department (GMAD) is looking to add a Business Analyst to support our critical business applications. The business analyst will be tasked with working with the business areas and various vendors to support and enhance the applications as well as work with Enterprise Technology on any corporate changes to the applications. The business analyst will also be responsible for reporting requests that are raised for the supported applications.Responsibilities:Work with the business areas to gather and write business requirement documents.Work with the vendor(s) to ensure understanding of requirements.Work with the vendor(s) and other areas of the organization to implement software enhancements and support production instance of application(s).Ensure that vendor enhancements are completed on time and within budget.Support Quality Assurance (QA) Testing of enhancements and fixes to the applications.Be the first level of support on production issues.Liaison with Enterprise Technology teams on corporate initiatives and infrastructure changes for applications that are hosted in New York Life data centers.Create and update reports based on business requests.Create time sensitive ad hoc reports and queries for regulatory requirements and audits.Qualifications:Minimum 3 years business analyst experience.Bachelor's degree required, Strong analytical skills.Experience in report creation and working with database queries.Excellent communication and writing skills.Effective time management and project coordination skills to handle multiple projects.Other Skills:Ability to work with tight deadlines and changing requirements and priorities.Ability to work independently as well as be part of a larger team effort.Ability to problem solve and think outside the box.Ability to create effective partnerships with diverse roles and positions throughout the organization.Salary range: $85,000-$125,000Overtime eligible: ExemptDiscretionary bonus eligible: YesSales bonus eligible: NoRecognized as one of Fortune's World's Most Admired Companies, New York Life is committed to improving local communities through a culture of employee giving and volunteerism, supported by the Foundation.
