Job Description:

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we're looking for talented people who want to help.

You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

Are you passionate about making an impact in the water and energy space? We are looking for motivated self-starters that can work in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. The successful candidate will be an analytical problem solver and have an extremely high level of customer focus. This role will support AWS's sustainable infrastructure expansion by analyzing data, building metrics, and improving performance of products.

Key job responsibilities

  • Designing and developing automated reporting solutions to enable stakeholders to manage the business and make effective decisions.
  • Work collaboratively with other AWS and Amazon teams to support the management of water and energy programs.
  • Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.
  • Minimum Requirements
  • 3+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience.
  • 3+ years of Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables) experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Engineering/Computer Science or similar field.
  • Proven experience leading initiatives related to sustainability/water/power/energy/utilities.
  • Proven experience diving deep into data, existing processes, people, and systems in order to simplify complex processes and generate insights.
  • Proven ability to interface successfully across levels from senior leadership to internal customers.
  • Excellent speaking-listening-writing skills and attention to details.
  • Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, protected veteran status, disability, age, or other legally protected status.
