Our client is a private investment firm that oversees a multi-billion-dollar portfolio with a specialized focus on distressed assets, emerging market opportunities, and unique event-driven strategies. The firm employs a dedicated team across three major global financial hubs. They are looking to take on a Business Analyst who will be responsible for producing and managing monthly reports and analyses related to our investment portfolios, ensuring data integrity, and supporting various long-term initiatives aimed at improving our workflows and integrating data from multiple sources.This is a hybrid position based in New York City, NY.

Business Analyst s Responsibilities and Duties

• Produce and manage reports on portfolio performance, attribution, counterparty exposure, derivatives reconciliation, and risk and exposure.
• Create application prototypes and define business requirements.
• Assist with automation of workflows and integration of internal and external data sources.
• Respond to various requests from other groups, including Investment Relations, Legal & Compliance, and Finance.

Business Analyst s Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, and/or Data Science.
• At least two years of relevant work experience in investment banking, alternative asset management, or related financial technology sectors.
• Familiarity with financial instruments and the application of analytics to investment management and financial markets.
• Strong mathematical and quantitative skills.
