This position is based in Pinellas County, within the Tampa Bay Area. Only candidates currently residing in the Tampa Bay Area will be considered. This is a 100% on-site position.
We're seeking a talented Business Analyst to drive data-based decision-making and operational efficiency. In this role, you'll collaborate with distribution and operations to analyze data, create actionable insights, and develop tools and dashboards that enhance agility and strategic alignment across departments.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Collaborate with operations and distribution to identify opportunities and define problems, developing analysis plans.
- Organize, clean, and reconcile large datasets from multiple systems, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
- Develop and maintain BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights and KPIs for performance tracking.
- Conduct deep-dive analysis of datasets to identify trends and drive operational/distribution improvements.
- Identify issues that could disrupt the supply chain from sourcing to distribution.
- Track industry trends and technological advancements to enhance BI functions.
- Map end-to-end processes to identify inefficiencies, drive improvements and reduce costs, particularly in the supply chain.
- Support distribution operations with data-driven analysis and cost-effective solutions.
- Use SQL or similar tools to extract data and create visually compelling dashboards.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Contribute to strategic planning, forecasting, and budgeting with data-driven insights.
- Review buying patterns to find anomalies and identify these to finance and purchasing.
- Work with 3PL vendors to maintain inventory levels and relationships.
- Monitor freight bids and provide reporting on savings/cost.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, or related field; master's degree or certification in Business Analysis is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role with a track record in quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on interpreting data and deriving actionable conclusions.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting findings and effective collaboration.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
Pay range and compensation package - Full-time, Exempt position, 100% on-site, full company benefits package.
Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
