Job Description:
Job Overview: We are seeking a Business Analyst on behalf of our client, a niche services and solutions provider to U.S. Life Insurer and Reinsurer clients. The Business Analyst plays a critical role in analyzing business performance, identifying opportunities for growth, and improving operational efficiency through data-driven insights. This role is essential to supporting strategic decision-making and enhancing the overall effectiveness of our client's commercial propositions. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, analytically inclined, and experienced in financial services, with a strong focus on data management and performance evaluation. Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Analysis:
    • Gather, analyze, and interpret large data sets to assess case manager performance and evaluate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
    • Develop KPIs aligned with strategic objectives to improve business processes and customer satisfaction.
    • Provide actionable recommendations based on data analysis to drive growth and enhance operations.
  • Reporting:
    • Create and maintain regular business performance reports using SQL, Power BI, and Excel.
    • Identify trends and areas for improvement, tracking performance against targets.
  • Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including case managers, operations, and management, to deliver data insights that support decision-making.
  • Systems and Infrastructure:
    • Streamline data collection and reporting processes to reduce manual intervention and scale the business.
    • Build and maintain management dashboards to present data and insights effectively.
  • Database Management:
    • Manage internal Microsoft SQL Server database.
    • Improve and document data architecture and ensure robust control frameworks for data management.
    • Prioritize and meet business and information needs through enhanced data management practices.
  • Technical Support:
    • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and guide users through problem resolution.
    • Collaborate with external IT and development teams on complex issues and system upgrades.
    • Assist in onboarding new team members, including managing licensing requirements.
Requirements Include: Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
  • 2+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role, preferably in the financial services industry.
Skills:
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and Power BI.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience in developing and monitoring KPIs and SLAs.
Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with database management, data architecture, and automation solutions.
  • Ability to streamline processes and implement scalable data solutions.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate within cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on improving business operations and growth.
