  • Position 2 Position: Business Analyst - Azure ProjectsJob Summary: Specializing in Azure migration, you will play a crucial role in ensuring successful transitions from on-premises systems to Microsoft Azure cloud environments. Your responsibilities will involve analyzing requirements, coordinating stakeholders, facilitating the smooth migration of applications and databases, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical solutions, and managing work intake. If you have a passion for technology, excellent communication skills, and a knack for problem-solving, this role is for you!Key Responsibilities: 1. Requirements Analysis:
  • Collaborate with business units and project stakeholders to understand their needs and objectives and identify migration opportunities.
  • Elicit and document transition requirements, focusing on data conversion and business continuity.
  • Identify the purpose of the migration and the desired outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of existing systems, processes, and data to assess feasibility and risks associated with migration.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows, to support the migration project.
  • Serve as a liaison between business units and technical teams, facilitating communication and resolving conflicts as needed
  • 2. Target Systems Definition:
  • Specify the target systems (e.g., ERP, CRM) where each data entity and element will be migrated.
  • Understand the import format required for data to be accepted by the target systems.
  • 3. Data Migration:
  • Collaborate with Application teams to define the data migration process from the current format (or export format) to the target format.
  • Consider manipulations needed to ensure successful data migration.
  • 4. Project Coordination and Work Intake:
  • Establish and maintain project layouts for multiple migration projects simultaneously.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and relevant departments regarding project scope.
  • Identify milestones, phases, and elements of the projects.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure projects remain within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Coordinate project activities and timelines, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Manage the intake process for migration-related work requests, prioritizing tasks based on business impact and resource availability.
  • Track project progress, milestones, and deliverables, providing regular updates to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization throughout the migration lifecycle.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to Azure migration and cloud computing.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in IT projects, with a focus on Azure migration.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are a plus.
  • Knowledge of data modeling and database concepts.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Target Rate: $85/hr
