As a member of the kACE product development group, you will be part of a team implementing innovative and cutting-edge solutions designed to meet the needs of a rapidly changing market. Role: Product Owner / Business Analyst Responsibilities
- Own and drive forward the process of gathering business requirements and translating them into user stories.
- Provide traceability between business requirements and user stories.
- Document requirements in a manner that allows for future reusability and ease of maintenance.
- Produce required content for product documentation, e.g., release notes, user guides, support guides.
- Perform analysis of both existing legacy systems and proposed new projects, decomposing and documenting the related business concepts, process flows, data element definitions, calculations, reports, and screen layouts.
- Keep backlog properly prioritized according to business value delivered.
- Write clear user stories with clear acceptance criteria and definition of done.
- Review and approve technical designs as being fit for purpose and in compliance with product requirements.
- Review and approve comprehensive test plans for the project, assisting team with formulating test design, cases, and environment setup.
- Mediate between the various interested parties to interpret/clarify requirements and help resolve any differences that might arise as a result.
- Proactively notify stakeholders when requirements are added or removed from scope.
- Adhere to established best practices and SDLC processes.
- Work cooperatively with scrum master, project team members from the development and testing groups to ensure a successful outcome for the project.
- Take on multiple projects simultaneously as needed.
- Develop subject matter expertise in the business areas/functions covered by assigned projects.
- Participate in periodic release activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of experience as Product Owner / Business Analyst is required. Key experience:
- Working with the SCRUM Agile process or similar process.
- Writing client facing documentation and user stories.
- Providing business analysis for software deployed at an external client site.
- Working on a legacy software product.
- Must demonstrate excellent documentation skills (provide a returnable sample of writing style for review).
- Must be energetic, self-motivated, thorough, detail oriented and possess excellent analytic and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of complex financial products and derivatives is required.
- Strong knowledge of foreign exchange derivatives markets and dealing workflows is desirable.
- Knowledge of XML, SQL and FIX is a plus.
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $ 105,000 to $ 150,000. The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
