Job DescriptionA leading company specializing in industrial services is seeking a Business Analyst to develop data-driven insights and optimize business operations. The ideal candidate is proficient in data analysis, reporting tools, and visualization techniques, with a strong ability to interpret trends and create actionable insights. Working collaboratively, the new team member will enhance business efficiency by producing accurate, impactful reports and supporting decision-making while streamlining processes and fostering cross-functional alignment. Salary + Additional Benefits:
  • $75,000-$100,000

Location: Pasadena, TX Type of Position: Direct Hire Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Data Science, or a related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the oil and gas industry
  • Certifications in Power BI, data analysis, or financial modeling (e.g., CBAP, CFA, or Power BI certifications) are a plus
  • Data Analysis & Reporting Tools
    • Proficient in Power BI or other visual tools for creating, managing, and optimizing dashboards
    • Expertise in Power Query for data transformation, cleaning, and integration
    • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Presentation & Visualization
    • Proficient in PowerPoint to create executive-level presentations
    • A designer mindset for crafting visually appealing reports and presentations
  • AI and Automation
    • Preferred experience/knowledge of Microsoft Power Automate
    • Ability to use tools such as Chat GPT and Microsoft Co-Pilot
  • Ad Hoc Reporting: Ability to produce on-demand reports to answer specific business questions quickly
  • Data Analysis
    • Ability to interpret historical data to predict future trends
    • Skilled in analyzing large datasets from multiple sources
  • Collaboration
    • Proven ability to work closely with Operations teams and understand operational needs
    • Ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights that are understandable to operations
    • Ability to work closely with the rest of the finance team to produce new reporting tools for operations
  • Self-Starter Mindset
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently, proactively identify issues, and take initiative
    • Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical mindset with a creative approach to problem-solving
