Job Description:
- Responsible for executing project which involves developing initial hypotheses and required analyses, organizing and facilitating workshops, and sizing potential value of workshop-generated opportunities
Create project fact base [60-70%]
- Develop initial hypotheses on potential value levers by reviewing current data on the project and interviewing key project stakeholders.
- Conduct analyses to refine hypotheses in conjunction with project team, and SMEs; structures analyses into easily digestible format to facilitate productive workshop discussions.
- Escalate issues to leadership as needed
Organize and facilitate workshops [10-20%]
- Ensure necessary participants are identified and included in workshops to ensure full set of value opportunities are explored.
- Support fact base syndication with project team and champions ahead of the workshop.
- Size workshop ideas and facilitate impact tracking handoff to project team [20-30%].
- Consolidate ideas generated from workshop and works with project team to estimate value in order to prioritize highest impact ideas.
- Guide project team through creating and progressing Wave initiative.
- Follow up with project team on regular cadence to ensure ideas are implemented.
- Capture lessons learned for each project scrub, create and share best practices.
Regular problem-solving sessions with masters and other analysts to identify opportunities and share best practices.
SME interviews relevant to projects that are being scrubbed.
Regularly conduct 3-5 hour workshops with appropriate project stakeholders.
Qualifications: Structured analytical problem-solving ability with independent / out-of-the box thinking as core strength, high performer with project expertise, ability to understand project cost estimates and economic assumptions, demonstrated record of scrub mindset & behaviors (e.g., commitment to thoroughness, keen eye for identifying inefficiencies).
Experience: Greater than 3 years of utility experience and understanding of utility functions, high preference for experience in executing capital projects and broad network within relevant function's capital projects organization
Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or business/economics
Experience with PowerBI, Excel (Pivot Tables) and PowerPoint presentations is required.
