Job Description:

Element6's client is looking for a Business Analyst to join their team on a contract basis. The Business Analyst drives, supports, and enables change through process improvement and delivery of technology. Reporting to the IT Delivery Manager, the Business Analyst participates and/or leads project initiation, process design, requirements, functional design, and test phases of projects. The Business Analyst may serve as a relationship manager with business stakeholders and collaborates with other team members to ensure projects and solutions meet business objectives.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define, prioritize, and manage project scope and requirements.
  • Facilitate requirements and design sessions with various stakeholders from across the organization.
  • Develop project and support documentation per project and organization standards.
  • Participate in the estimating, planning, requirements, and design activities.
  • Develop as-is and to-be process flows and models.
  • Manage project issues, risks, and change requests.
  • Provide clear and timely communication on project status, issues, risks, and changes to management and project stakeholders.
  • Participate in internal continuous improvement projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 1 year of professional experience on a technology delivery team. Equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
  • Experience in developing scope and requirements; translating and documenting functional and non-functional business needs into requirements or user stories, including acceptance criteria and traceability through full project lifecycle.
  • Strong facilitation and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with multiple delivery methodologies, including Agile, Iterative, and Waterfall
  • Experience with process flow development and process reengineering.
  • Strong relationship management and customer service skills.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and solution development skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; solid presentation skills.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to this position. Must understand and comply with all job-related State and Federal laws and regulations.
