Senior Business Analyst, Michigan (2 days a week hybrid)

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Business Analyst (BA) to support an educational data project . The BA will play a critical role in gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements while ensuring seamless collaboration between business stakeholders, the development team, and representatives. This role requires a professional who can confidently manage Agile processes, coordinate sprint meetings, and provide clarity on project roadblocks.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Analysis and Documentation:
- Collect, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for systems, processes, data flows, and services impacted by the project.
- Work closely with business users and development teams to clarify requirements and validate implementation of business logic.
Agile Facilitation:
- Establish and manage Agile sprint processes for the project.
- Organize and lead Agile sprint meetings, ensuring smooth execution of each sprint.
Testing and Quality Assurance:- Create comprehensive testing documentation and assist with end-to-end testing.
- Track and manage bugs to resolution, ensuring system quality.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Act as a liaison between business users, stakeholders, D team members, and developers.
- Facilitate clear and effective communication across teams to ensure alignment on goals and deliverables.
Project Support:
- Provide feedback on system designs and identify roadblocks in the development process.
- Support project management activities as needed, including creating progress reports and presentations.
Top Skills & Years of Experience Required:
- Complex IT Web Applications: At least 10 years of experience with complex IT web application projects.
- Software Development Projects: Minimum 10 years of experience supporting software development projects.
- Educational Data Systems: 6+ years of experience working with educational data systems.
- Communication and Presentation: Proven ability to conduct meetings, deliver presentations, and produce written and oral reports tailored to the audience.
- Professional Office Environment: 10+ years of experience in professional office settings.
- Technical Tools: Proficiency in MS Office and Visio (10+ years).
Highly Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC): 5+ years of knowledge and understanding.
- Project Management: 5+ years of experience with project management methodologies and practices.
