Your RoleThe Utilization Management (UM) Business Processing team supports the reporting and analytical needs of the CalPERS UM Teams. The Business Analyst, Senior will report to the Sr. Manager, Business Process Management. In this role, you will provide complex analytical support to the CalPERS UM team, including, but not limited to CalPERS required reporting, production reporting, staffing models, and other reporting to support the CalPERS UM Team. You will bridge both performance and authorization views for the CalPERS business. You will support the improvement of our work and our positive impact on both providers and members.Your WorkIn this role, you will:Provide complex analytical support through the analysis and interpretation of data in support of cross-functional business operationsDevelop annual operating plans, capital budgets and forecasts, and build business cases for new business initiatives (cost/benefit analysis)Develop, prepare, and analyze reports with complex analysis and data for management review, and present to various levels of managementDefine business requirements and provide analysis to increase operational efficiencyProvide analytical support for multiple, complex cross-functional projects simultaneously; establish work plans and timelinesDevelop, produce, and submit internal and/or CalPERS required reportingCollaborate with cross-functional business operations teams to ensure CalPERS reporting requirements are metCreate presentations and reports utilizing tools such as Tableau, Microsoft PowerPoint, and ExcelYour Knowledge and ExperienceRequires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceRequires at least 5 years of prior relevant experienceEffective communication skills, oral and writtenStrong problem solver with demonstrated ability to identify root cause of low complexity issuesAbility to function independently and produce results that meet standards of quality, timeliness, and acceptabilityAdvanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint in preparing and making presentations to various levels of managementPrior experience in health insurance industry is preferredPay RangeThe pay range for this role is: $77990.00 to $116930.00 for California.#J-18808-Ljbffr
