Job Description: We are seeking a Business Analyst with a strong background in Capital Markets and SQL to join our Global Funding Investment Insurance Technology team. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across the trade lifecycle to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and develop solutions for various financial instruments and processes. You will also be an active participant in an Agile software development team. Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for technology solutions.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement solutions that address business needs and align with regulatory requirements.
- Data Analysis: Utilize SQL to extract, transform, and analyze data, providing insights to support decision-making.
- Agile Participation: Actively participate in an Agile software development team, contributing to sprints, backlog grooming, and other ceremonies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work effectively with teams in geographically diverse locations and across various functions (front office, middle office, finance, operations, compliance, risk).
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in Business Analysis and/or Requirements documentation.
- 5+ years of experience working with clients or stakeholder groups to solve problems and design solutions.
- Domain Knowledge: Experience delivering solutions for Capital Markets, including Interest Rate Derivatives, Foreign Exchange Derivatives, Futures, Bonds and Securities, Secured and Unsecured Money Market Instruments, and Loans
- Financial Acumen: Knowledge of balance sheets and income statements.
- Agile: Experience working as part of an Agile software development team.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Technical Aptitude: Comfortable working in an environment that utilizes Python, Java, Angular2, and similar technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification
- Python: Experience using Python for data analysis or modeling.
