Role Summary Internship Term: Rivian internships are experiences optimized for students with a graduation date between: December 2025 and December 2027. This role is ideal for a student in accounting or finance who is eager to apply analytical skills to real-world manufacturing finance challenges, with a strong interest in business strategy beyond traditional finance or accounting. This role offers exposure to business leaders, including VP-level interactions within Rivian's factory setting. Responsibilities Financial Modeling & Planning: Assist in creating financial models to support R2 launch planning and decision-making, focusing on ROI studies and cost analysis. Data Analysis: Conduct entry-level data analysis to support business cases, develop case studies, and drive decision-making for manufacturing finance needs. Cost Improvement Initiatives: Support R1 cost-reduction and efficiency projects by collaborating with manufacturing leadership and finance team members. Business Case Development: Analyze data and develop business cases to drive strategy, providing valuable insights to inform financial and operational decisions. Exposure to Leadership: Gain valuable experience by working with leaders across the manufacturing environment, including exposure to VPs and upper management. Qualifications Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field; preference for students from Illinois State University's College of Business or similar programs. Strong analytical abilities, with the ability to zoom out and approach projects from a broader business perspective. Proficiency in Excel for financial modeling and data analysis; experience in entry-level data analysis and modeling is a plus. Candidates from the Bloomington-Normal area or with a strong interest in relocating to this region are preferred, as Rivian seeks to retain talent locally for long-term roles. Prior experience in accounting, finance, or Big 4 internships is beneficial, especially for candidates targeting a future in corporate finance or manufacturing finance. 40 hours/week, full-time #LI-[SAI7] Pay Disclosure Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Internships: The range of pay for internships is 25.00-51.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on location, and other factors permitted by law. Rivian provides robust wellness benefits, and a medical insurance package for interns, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
