Role and Responsibilities:
- Provides intake and orientations for individuals who are seeking community competitive employment
- Assesses individuals' skills and interests by conducting formal (written inventories and evaluations) and informal (observation and historical reviews) assessments
- Initiates and maintains personal contacts with business and industry representatives
- Conducts job searches to assist people in finding employment
- Assists with the on-the-job orientation and training, job coaching, and provides intermittent support and following along services to the person and employer as needed
- Analyzes problems of adjustment and performance of individuals, discuss strategies with supervisors, and develops strategies to resolve or refers them to appropriate agencies if needed
- Maintains effective communication with the individual's support team including his/her family, staff, referring
- Maintains individual records in accordance with CW and CARF guidelines
- Maintains required certifications and participates in job related training
- Must be able to travel within the community to other CT CW and business locations
- Adheres to in agency policies and procedures
- Actively participates in staff meetings worker, employer etc.
- Knowledge of job placement techniques, accepted standard employment practices, community resources, and professional organizations
- Participates in job development consortiums, Chamber of Commerce events and other forums for outreach efforts and promote/network for CW Resources, Inc. and people served
Qualifications & Education Requirements:
- Associate's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in the human services, job development, job placement, or closely related field
- Valid driver's license

Physical Demands:The Business and Partner Developer may be asked to provide direct support and care to those served which can be a physically demanding position. While performing the duties of the direct support job, the employee may be required to reach using hands or arms and spend a large amount of time at work standing, walking, lifting heavy objects etc. The incumbent must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 and occasionally lift and/or more than 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.Environmental Demands:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily working within an office environment and will occasionally be required to visit and audit other locations and facilities.
