The Engineering Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for leading a variety of engineering activities including the design, acquisition and deployment of hardware, software and network infrastructure in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead efforts to ensure quality standards are being met within existing and planned framework.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Serve as a technology subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders and provide direction for all firm mandated controls and compliance initiatives, all projects within the group and in creating a technology domain roadmap
+ Ensure that all integration of functions meet business goals
+ Define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process enhancements
+ Recommend product customization for system integration
+ Identify problem causality, business impact and root causes
+ Exhibit knowledge of how own specialty area contributes to the business and apply knowledge of competitors, products and services
+ Advise or mentor junior team members
+ Impact the engineering function by influencing decisions through advice, counsel or facilitating services
+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and maintain front-to-back solution architecture for critical transformation initiatives Establish target state process flows, operating model, and data definitions Work with technology teams to evolve system architecture Present at design governance forums to ratify proposals Collaborate with program team to define delivery roadmap with intermediate milestones to deliver target state Promote use of standards, design guard rails, and foundational components to deliver target state solutions Produce high-quality documentation and design artefacts Engage with diverse stakeholders across Ops and Tech LOB teams to drive consensus on requirements and a unified end-to-end design Clearly identify risks and proactively manage mitigation Coordinate and align reporting and communication
Experience (Must haves):
At least 6+ years of experience in financial services Experience in Front, Middle and Back Office technologies on large scale, enterprise platforms Hands-on experience in developing solutions for Operations functions such as trade processing, payments, controls, reconciliations, regulatory reporting, etc. Proven track record as e2e solution architect leveraging micro-services, cloud, event driven frameworks Experience in domain based, functionally aligned design of large scale enterprise applications Experience in definition and adoption of data strategy to support functional, regulatory, and compliance requirements, e.g. payments event cache, non-finance reg. reporting, authoritative data sources Strong hands-on experience with Agile delivery, product management, value stream methodologies Strong communication skills and proven track record in producing quality project artefacts, including senior management reports within a technology or risk & controls domain Ability to structure and run design forums across diverse stakeholders to drive a concensus on requirements and develop and implement process, data, system designs Motivated self-starter with ability to learn new skills quickly and navigate the organization Expertise in designing large scale container technologies on micro services based environments. Rearchitect monolithic applications into re-usable and scalable micro services Experience in Java 8, SpringBoot, Python, Oracle/MongoDB & Docker/Kubernetes/Open Shift, messaging platforms
**Education:**
+ Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience
