Job Description:
Within the UC Davis Molecular & Cellular Biology department, work as a team player in an office environment characterized by multiple tasks, frequent interruptions, and changing work priorities. Under the direction of the Chief Administrative Officer, work closely with students, staff, faculty, vendors, and other clients to provide administrative and logistical support to a variety of activities held in the department.Apply By Date : November 1, 2024 at 11:59pm Minimum Qualifications For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license, certification and/or educational degree if required of the position.
  • No Education required
  • Experience coordinating events such as scheduling meetings and speakers, reserving rooms, calendaring, record keeping, and handling correspondence.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact and communicate with prospective and current students, staff, faculty, and administrators.
  • Organizational skills to multitask and assign priorities to numerous projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using various computer applications (Microsoft Office, Outlook) to create event materials, answer correspondence, and maintain the Chair's calendar.
  • Knowledge of university event policies and procedures.

Department Overview The Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology is a large teaching and research unit within the College of Biological Sciences. The department is comprised of 31 faculty in addition to emeriti faculty, lecturers, specialists, researchers, visiting faculty, postdoctoral scholars, undergraduate and graduate students, and instruction, administrative and research staff.POSITION INFORMATION
