What's exciting about the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Continuity Consultant to join our team based in the Americas, with responsibilities spanning our global operations. This role is critical in designing, implementing, and maintaining a Business Continuity program and identifying business continuity strategies and solutions to ensure the resilience and continuous operation of our global business units. As a Business Continuity Consultant, you will collaborate with departments worldwide.
Key responsibilities
* Develop and implement comprehensive business continuity and disaster recovery programs across multiple business units worldwide
* Conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities that could impact business operations
* Lead business impact analyses to determine critical business functions and prioritize recovery strategies
* Coordinate with global and regional teams to ensure the business continuity plans align with local regulations and business needs
* Facilitate training and drills for emergency response teams and business continuity coordinators across different regions
* Regularly review and ensure business continuity plans reflect the changing risk landscape and business processes
* Provide expert guidance and support during actual emergencies and business disruptions
* Provide guidance and leadership in development in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery software and tools
* Prepare metrics, reports and presentations for senior management detailing readiness and response strategies
* Work collaboratively with IT departments to ensure alignment of IT disaster recovery plans with business continuity plans
Skills and Experience we desire
* 5-10 years of professional experience in business continuity planning, risk management, or a related field
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Information Systems, or a related discipline
* Professional certification in Business Continuity Management (e.g., CBCP, MBCI) is highly preferred
* Strong understanding of global business operations and the ability to manage projects with cross-functional teams
* Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work well under pressure
* Proficient in business continuity planning software and tools
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and lead during crises
* Willingness to travel as needed to support global operations and conduct site-specific assessments
