APPLICANT MUST BE LOCATED WITHIN 50 MILES OF BRANCH LOCATION.SUMMARY The Business Continuity Specialist provides support to the Business Continuity Manager in daily administrative, project planning and implementation, and documentation responsibilities. They perform essential reporting functions, assisting in the development of companywide business continuity strategies. The ideal candidate for this role should have strong critical-thinking abilities with an organized and logical approach to work. The efforts of the Business Continuity team support the company's ability to adapt and thrive despite ever-changing business, cyber security, and risk landscapes. All employees are expected to protect the information and assets of the organization through heightened awareness of information security, cybersecurity, and risk management best practices, as well as complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Assist in the documentation, maintenance, and communication of business continuity procedures across the organization.
- As directed by the Business Continuity Manager, audit guides and trainings and make edits as required.
- Assist with business continuity plan testing across all business units with an emphasis on on-site testing whenever possible and practical.
- Assist the Business Continuity Manager in the ongoing maintenance and reporting of the Business Continuity risk assessment.
- Develop skills in Business Continuity software solutions, including developing knowledge of information updates, vendor management, etc.
- Support the Business Continuity Manager in identifying recovery strategies and gaps.
- Assist in the editing and updating of content and change processes for the Business Continuity Plan.
- Prepare special reports on applicable business continuity activities and other initiatives as requested for management, board of directors, auditors, and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Assume responsibility for additional projects as assigned.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
- Associate's degree in Business Administration, Finance, a related field, or a commensurate combination of education and experience required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Familiarity with core enterprise applications, such as business intelligence, customer relationship management, and enterprise resource planning.
- Familiarity with data processing functions, such as data inventory, mapping, categorization, and purpose identification.
- Working knowledge of inherent risks related to data processing, including privacy risks, security vulnerabilities, and compliance considerations.
- Strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to analyze potential project outcomes with the adaptability to redirect attention as needed to meet targets and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with internal and external customers at all levels.
- A positive and proactive approach to work, demonstrating enthusiasm, adaptability, and the ability to maintain composure and professionalism in stressful or adverse conditions.
- Ability to accurately and quickly complete standard mathematical calculations.
- Proficient computer literacy, including comfort with Microsoft systems and Office Suite.
- Intermediate typing skills to meet the needs of this position.
- Current driver's license and reliable transportation with appropriate insurance coverage; additionally, the ability to drive occasionally in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
- The ability to work with minimal or no supervision.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Two or more years of bank branch and/or back-office operations experience strongly preferred.
- History of successful work in core enterprise applications, data processing functions, and inherent risks preferred.
- Familiarity with end-to-end banking operations preferred.
