Job DescriptionAre you looking for a great opportunity in Business Development? Inframark is looking for a Business Developer in our Central Region.Location – Oklahoma, Missouri, Illinois, Texas, Remote for the right candidate!The Business Developer will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop additional business from existing contract scope expansions and new business pursuits. The developer will also work closely with our operations staff to ensure contract renewal success. Job duties include but are not limited to 1) Develop a targeted market plan, which should include strategies for competitive take aways and development of municipalities/industries who have never outsourced before, 2) Create detailed maps of the decision making process and all decision maker/influencers for all targets, 3) Position Inframark as the best partner for the potential client and 4) Convert the target to a client through client-mandated process (RFP, RFQ, Open Bid), 5) Work with existing operations staff to support expanded scope and renewal efforts. The Business Developer will own the process from beginning to end and marshal our internal resources to a successful outcome.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIESMeets or exceeds territory revenue quota at standard gross margins or betterIdentifies prospective projects through current customer relationships, networking, cold calling and market researchUnderstands and leverages market trends affecting the O&M businessProactively seeks out solutions to prospective customer problems using the vast internal network of experts.Works with legal, finance, safety, compliance, operations and human resources to ensure we are targeting and selling the right work for our employees, clients and shareholdersLeads the strategic aspects of proposals (Graphic Designer and Copywriter will support)Maintains an active pipeline by regularly updating progress in CRM systemKeeps company management informed of business conditions which may affect assigned product or marketsWorks with marketing and promotion, including advertising, review media, conferences, specials sales, and subsidiary rightsAttends pre-bids and site meetingsPresents proposals professionally and creatively to ensure the best resultAssists in project start-up to ensure all key elements of the proposal are metUnderstands and adheres to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functionsQUALIFICATIONSHistory of success working in the municipal market and familiarity working with city staff and elected officialsHistory of success using a consultative selling modelEffectively worked with consultants and advocates partnershipsWorking understanding of water, wastewater infrastructure and public works infrastructureEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree and 10+ years of related experienceCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSProfessional Engineer (P.E.), a plusPHYSICAL DEMANDSRequires overnight travel approximately 30% of the time.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.RequirementsInternal employees, please apply via Sharepoint: Click Here ( the recruiter above if you need assistance.An Equal Opportunity Employer.
