SPS PoolCare is seeking a motivated and proactive Business Development Associate to join our team in Austin, TX. This role will focus on identifying and qualifying potential acquisition targets in key growth markets. This role is the first point of contact, responsible for finding qualified leads and making strategic introductions to the Business Development team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in outbound calling, building relationships, and assessing business potential to support our high-growth strategy. This role is essential for fueling the growth pipeline by finding and introducing high-potential acquisition opportunities for SPS PoolCare.Pay range: Base ($40-$45K) commission structureRequirementsResponsibilities: Conduct targeted research to identify companies with acquisition potential. Use databases, social media, and other creative resources to compile a list of qualified leads. Conduct outbound calls to initiate conversations about acquisition opportunities in the pool service industry. Identify key decision-makers and build rapport to foster trust and credibility to evaluate fit for acquisition. Qualify potential acquisition opportunities based on criteria such as business size, location, service offerings, reputation and financial health. Maintain accurate records of interactions, conversations, and lead statuses. Track outreach progress and report on key metrics, such as the number of leads generated, qualification status, and conversion rates. Collaborate with the business development and corporate leadership teams to share insights and align on acquisition targets. Follow up with leads regularly to ensure ongoing engagement and keep potential acquisitions in the pipeline. Qualifications: 1-3 years of experience in business development, lead generation, or sales. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable with cold outreach and capable of quickly establishing rapport with business owners. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales or engagement targets. Proven track record of creative and effective lead generation. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of the pool service, or home services industry is a plus but not required. Prior experience in mergers and acquisitions is strongly preferred.
