Archetype is growing and actively seeking a Business Development Director to join our team. We are looking for someone who shares our values, challenges ordinary thinking, and pushes the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Archetype. Your primary responsibility is new business development of Archetype's analytics focused consulting services. You will work closely with Archetype's subject matter experts and Analytics Practice Lead to develop new accounts and/or expand existing accounts within the tri-state geographic territory of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. We prefer candidates who reside in the region. In this position you will work from home and regional travel will be required.
Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute strategic sales strategy to drive revenue in region
Demand generation and lead qualification to generate new sales opportunities
Develop and enhance field level relationships with customers, prospects and strategic software partners
Build long lasting client relationships
Utilize a solution selling approach to identify and communicate value propositions associated with Archetype offerings
Work closely with Archetype Marketing to design and implement integrated outbound campaigns
Effectively lead cross departmental project bid teams to drive project proposals
Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and activity reports to management
10+ years of experience in selling professional services Business Intelligence/Analytics consulting
Experience with enterprise cloud economics and understanding of enterprise data management concepts (Data Governance, Data Engineering, Data Science, Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Data Sharing, Data Applications)
Proven ability to sell to executive-level prospects
Proven history of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
Strong verbal and written communication
Ability to cultivate partnerships with key analytics software vendors. Prefer experience working with companies such as Snowflake, FiveTran, Looker, Tableau, Sigma, Matillion, ThoughtSpot, DataRobot, etc.
Able to develop strong internal relationships
Able to network and develop strong business relationships with customers
Able to generate leads and manage the sales cycle through to deal closure
Experience working with CRM tools such as Saleforce
Demonstrated skills with MS productivity applications such as PowerPoint, Word, etc
Must be self-managed, responsive and dedicated to customer success

The Business Development Director will be entitled to a base salary and commissions based on bookings and revenue performance.
