DescriptionAs a leading firm focused on internal audit, accounting and corporate finance, our goal at DLA, LLC is to continuously develop our employees and to embrace a culture that combines fun with hard work and dedication!We are actively seeking a Business Development Executive with a strong track record of selling advisory and audit services on behalf of a public accounting or consulting firm, and who maintains an active book of contacts in the NYC or Boston metro areas.This individual will be responsible for driving service line and office revenue goals by identifying and guiding new business opportunities and expanding market presence across the Internal Audit and Accounting Advisory Practice areas.DLA's Accounting Advisory practice provides clients with assistance in financial statement audit preparation, financial reporting issues including accounting for complex transactions and new accounting standards, IPO or buy/sell transaction preparation, and monthly, quarterly or annual financial reporting closings on an interim basis.Our Internal Audit & Risk Advisory practice focuses on providing Outsourced or Co- sourced Internal Audit, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, and other value-added risk and compliance services, including AML/KYC, Enterprise Risk Management, IT Compliance, COSO frameworks, IPO readiness, and operational reviews.Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth through a variety of outreach methods and utilization of market data, in alignment with the Firm's strategic goals.
  • Create and execute sales strategies and account plans to achieve sales
  • Track and organize prospecting efforts, set goals, and glean insights/trends within CRM and Account Planning tools.
  • Develop and maintain a sales pipeline and manage the sales process from lead generation to closing deals
  • Collaborate with our Accounting Advisory and Internal Audit teams to ensure successful execution of sales Educating team members on sales approaches, market trends, and specific account tailored insights to drive successful sales growth.
  • Attending industry events and conferences to network with potential clients and partners, including industry referral partners.
  • Managing client relationships to identify areas for new services and sales opportunities within the growing service lines as DLA to maximize cross-selling opportunities.
  • Updates business development Go to Market plans and sales reporting to the Head of Business Development and select Business Line Leaders.
  • Work collaboratively with the DLA Marketing team to execute Go to Market strategies and account outreach through a variety of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Capable of developing and nurturing strong client relationships across executive levels.
  • Ability to establish credibility, industry knowledge and service expertise with senior-level executives, resulting in strong business relationships.
  • Consultative-based selling experience and ability to create new and leverage existing relationships, resulting in new revenue opportunities in a 'win as a team' environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to utilize across a wide array of buyers in the market.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional business acumen, management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ideal candidate will have a track record of success in identifying, qualifying, and capturing new business, identifying and meeting with referral sources.
  • Experience leveraging sales management and/or CRM tools such as Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Apollo.io.
  • Existing Rolodex of known contacts.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience.
  • Strong background in professional services (accounting firm or consulting firm experience a plus).
  • Strong process and analytical skills.
  • Excellent time management and organization.
