Job Description:

Enabled Energy is a prominent consulting and general contractor firm specializing in retrofitting cutting-edge data centers across United States and Canada. We are dedicated to delivering state-of-the-art infrastructure and services to meet the ever-evolving demands of our clients. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Executive (BDE) to join our Development team. A Business Development Executive has extensive experience and expertise in sales along with sufficient experience to independently sell Enabled Energy's standard offerings in the data center industry. A Business Development Executive shall be responsible to work independently and as part of a group to support Enabled Energy's business development sales objectives. The BDE will earn a base salary and is eligible for a commission or bonus as specified on the employee's compensation addendum. Travel expectations: Enabled Energy pursues projects through the United States and Canada. Travel for this role is estimated to be up to 70% of the time. Responsibilities: In this role, required skill sets and job responsibilities include: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Business Development

  • Gain introductions to prospective clients.
  • Perception as the go to person for clients. Clients want to talk with this person because they will get results and have a good rapport.
  • Lead successful first calls, RFP interviews, and requirements meetings.
  • Discuss and understand client requirements and solutions with engineers and other subject matter experts.
  • Help clients navigate complex financial and technical solutions with superior critical thinking skills.
  • Qualify/disqualify clients for Enabled Energy's services.
  • Provide proactive, engaging, and astute conversations during phone or personal meetings with clients to make win-win decisions on the spot without dependency of senior Enabled Energy staff.
  • Articulate orally and in writing Enabled Energy's key differentiators in their own words and based on the client and the competitors involved in the opportunity.
  • Explain and confidently advocate for Enabled Energy's pricing and value.
  • Attend trade shows and arrange booth space for marketing and business development shows.
  • Understand basic data center systems and Enabled Energy's ability to improve these systems.
  • Master all sales processes for all Enabled Energy offerings
  • Motivate internal resources to provide technical support on sales when needed.
  • Inform operations about promised objectives.
  • Help business development directors establish market direction and strategic goals.

NON-ESSENTIAL (MARGINAL) JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Attending company team-building events in person
  • Attending team and client meetings with live video
  • Maintaining contact with team members via mobile text/chat
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least seven (7) years experience in data centers and sales. Ten (10) years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree.
  • Experience in technical selling of HVAC, controls, electrical or cower solutions.
  • Active relationships with data center operators.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Orderly thinking and ability to prioritize and produce on concurrent projects.
  • Strong leadership skills to own and lead all aspects of the business development process.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Expertise in CRM Management
Preferred
  • Data center management and/or operations experience.
  • Account management experience, including multiple sales of different products or services to a single client, preferably to multiple departments or buyers within that account.
  • Background and/or contacts in the telecommunications industry.
  • Familiarity with Smartsheets.
  • Track record with industry trade associations.
