Overview: Loureiro Engineering Associates is seeking a Business Development Intern for our location in Plainville, CT. We are looking to hire someone as soon as possible to contribute to a fast-paced growing team in the Business Development department and will perform tasks independently while working closely with individual team members to ensure that objectives are met. Imagine an internship where you get the chance to apply knowledge gained in the classroom to a real-life environment and then multiply that tenfold. During the internship, you will tackle real challenges and cultivate your curiosity and meet our clients' evolving needs by working alongside the best in the industry.   • Generate qualified leads for the BD team so they can provide a quick response to customers.
  • Prospect potential customers via cold calling, email, or other forms of communication to ensure they are added to the sales pipeline and produce more qualified leads.
  • Maintain the client database to make sure the sales team can access current information on all leads.
  • Forecasting future market, consumer, and sales trends.
  • Working with the marketing team to inform and develop marketing strategies.
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with clients.
  • Assists with reporting & analytical needs of organization.
Requirements:
  • A Junior or Senior student majoring in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Management or Strategy (or related field).
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Additional language skills are an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications: Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Highly organized and structured.
  • Logical and lateral thinker.
  • Strongly motivated to perform, learn and improve.
  • Flexibility to accommodate frequent travel.
  • Proactively takes the initiative beyond the tasks assigned and is resourceful.
  • Team player, open-minded, possesses cultural awareness and sensitivity.
