DescriptionPosition OverviewThe Brand Development Manager (BDM) is a performance-driven on-premise sales professional focused on engaging customers and consumers to drive brand visibility and sales for Diageo's portfolio, with a focus on whiskey, agave, and other leading brands. This role requires expertise in influencer marketing, digital engagement, and strategic partnerships to enhance brand equity, awareness, and consumer adoption. By leveraging supplier and internal assets, the BDM will shape cross-brand partnerships and develop innovative strategies to ensure Diageo's brands remain relevant and deeply connected with consumers.This role is located in the Boston/South Shore area of MA.Key Accountabilities:Build and maintain strong relationships with key on premise accounts to drive visibility and growth of Diageo's portfolio.Develop and execute brand initiatives, platforms, and campaigns.Plan and execute immersive brand experiences and activations, including trade events and consumer-facing engagements.Partner with accounts on cocktail menu R&D, consultation, and strategy to ensure Diageo brands are featured prominently.Deliver training sessions to staff on brand, category, and cocktail knowledge.Manage influencer partnerships and budget, focusing on ROI while growing the Diageo Tequila and Whiskey brands through strategic collaboration.Track sales data and analyze market trends, delivering monthly reports with actionable insights for growth opportunities.Actively engage on social platforms to raise brand visibility and connect with consumers.Meet monthly and quarterly performance targets, including account visits, activations, educational sessions, and new influencer relationships.RequirementsKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:Elevated understanding of social media platforms and influencer marketing.Proven experience in event planning and execution for trade and consumer audiences.Ability to analyze sales data and make data-driven decisions.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey brand messaging across multiple platforms.Experience working with distributor sales teams to enhance brand presence and meet sales targets.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage budgets and demonstrate ROI for marketing activities.Knowledge of industry trends, customer needs, and brand reception, particularly in the Whiskey and Agave categories.Media training or experience in handling brand communications is a plus.Education/Training/ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.College degree or equivalent work experience preferred.Candidate must possess a valid Massachusetts driver's license and registration.Minimum of 2 years experience in brand management, sales, or marketing within the beverage alcohol industry.Experience working with distributors and managing on premise relationships.Proven experience in influencer marketing and social media strategy.Physical Demands and Environment:Ability to work flexible hours and travel frequently to visit key accounts, attend industry events, and meet with influencers.Must be able to lift promotional materials and event setups weighing up to 40 pounds.Work may involve extended periods of standing during activations and events.Role involves working in many environments, from office settings to bars, restaurants, and event spaces.Work requires travel and exposure to weather conditions.Potential for accidents due to travel including traffic accidents, delivery of goods, or the set up of displays.Martignetti Companies prides itself on being a company where you can bring your best self to work every day.
