The Role: Setting: Hybrid (2-3 per week) Salary range: 115k - 120k
What you'll do? As a BDM specializing in the Banking and Financial Services (BFS) industry, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our IT solutions and services. Working closely with the Chief Growth Officer and the sales team, you will develop and execute a lead generation strategy aimed at achieving key sales targets. This position requires a proactive individual comfortable in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment within a services sales organization. You must be adaptable and collaborative as priorities shift with emerging opportunities.
Key Responsibilities: - Sales Generation: Drive new sales within the BFS industry, focusing on high-value IT solutions and services.
- Lead Qualification: Initiate contact with potential clients, identifying and qualifying new prospects through targeted outreach.
- Solution Presentation: Effectively present our IT solutions to prospective clients, highlighting their benefits and relevance to specific business needs.
- Pipeline Development: Utilize various lead generation methods to build and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
- Relationship Building: Establish and nurture strong, long-term relationships with senior management at targeted firms, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor.
- End-to-End Sales Management: Oversee the complete sales cycle, from initial contact and client meetings to RFI responses, multi-day workshops, contract negotiations, and deal closure.
- Client Support: Provide comprehensive support during the initial engagement phases, ensuring client satisfaction and fostering strong relationships throughout the sales lifecycle.
- Market and Competitive Analysis: Collaborate with presales, marketing, and business development teams to conduct market research and competitive analysis, refining strategies and positioning.
- Travel: Regular travel to client locations for lead generation, presentations, negotiations, and ongoing relationship management.
Requirements
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in closing deals ranging from $2 million to $5 million in value.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
- Sales Drive: Proven ability to meet aggressive sales targets and deadlines.
- Proactive Attitude: A value-creating mindset, going beyond just order-taking.
- Industry Experience: At least 7 - 10 years of experience in new logo acquisition within the BFS domain.
- Domain Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the BFS industry (card processing, cross border payments, core banking, and payment gateway).
