Job Description:

Job Description The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies to grow the bank's customer base and market share. This includes identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, developing and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers, and closing deals. The Business Development Manager will also be responsible for working with the Marketing Department in developing and implementing marketing campaigns to promote the bank's products and services to consumers and businesses. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in business development, a strong understanding of the banking industry, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Reports To • Director of Retail Banking Primary Responsibilities • Establish rapport with potential clients and arrange meetings. • Plans and oversees new marketing initiatives. • Research organizations and individuals to find new opportunities. • Manages and increases the value of current customers while attracting new ones. • Finds and develops new markets and improves sales. • Attends conferences, meetings, and industry events. • Develops goals for the retail team and business growth and ensures they are met. • Trains team members to develop their skills. • Strong understanding of company products or services as well as business position and competition to keep business competitive. • Stays up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity. • Other duties as assigned. Desired Skills & Experience • Bachelor's Degree in related field • 5-7 years of experience in the retail banking environment with proven management skills • Strong leadership skills and ability to build trust • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and presentation • Knowledge of sales techniques and relationship building • Knowledge of Bank policy and procedures, as well as banking products including consumer lending and mortgages • Ability to analyze data and present it to groups of customers, senior management, and peers
