Our client specializes in Inbound Marketing, Marketing Strategy, Corporate and Product Positioning, Outsourced Marketing, Change Management and Internal Communications. They work closely with top-tier clients across industries such as technology, photonics, energy, medical and veterinary tech, healthtech, aerospace, avionics, and automation to help them grow and change. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join the team. This individual will play a pivotal role in expanding the client relationships, generating new business opportunities, and selling complex marketing solutions to C-level executives across various industries. Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify, qualify, and close business opportunities through inbound leads, account-based marketing, cold calling, and leveraging tradeshow contacts.
- Develop strategic relationships and sell into a new and existing customer base, offering innovative marketing and change management solutions tailored to their needs.
- Engage in solution-based sales, addressing challenges such as mergers and acquisitions, new product launches, and market entry.
- Conduct high-level consultative selling, focusing on six-figure opportunities with C-suite executives.
- Stay informed on industry trends and client needs in key sectors.
- Represent the company at select tradeshows, networking events, and other marketing-focused opportunities.
- Pair with an Account Manager to collaborate on closing deals, ensuring a smooth transition of client relationships and providing a comprehensive handoff once contracts are signed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Proven experience in B2B sales, specifically selling complex solutions into C-level executives.
- Track record of successfully closing six-figure deals.
- Familiarity with industries such as tech, diagnostics, medical imaging, photonics, aerospace, avionics, and automation is highly preferred.
- Strong ability to generate leads through independent research and develop lasting business relationships.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel to key tradeshows and client meetings as needed.
