Great new Business Development Manager role for a leading National law firm, hybrid Palo Alto role. The ideal candidate has 5+ years Big Law Business Development experience and a successful track record in supporting BD for the Venture Capital & Emerging Markets Practice Group.

A Mid-Size, National, AM 150 firm, known for their innovative approach and commitment to client success, they have established a strong presence from east to west coast and are looking to appoint a Business Development Manager/ Senior Manager to work with their successful Venture Capital & Emerging Markets Practice Group.

Description

As Business Development Manager/ Senior Manager, varied responsibilities include:

• Develop and implement strategic business development plans
• Collaborate with marketing, digital and communications to promote Practice Groups
• Creating, updating and saving pitch content, materials, and client information ensuring records are up-to-date and easily accessible to all the firm
• Scheduling, sourcing, planning and executing business development events (conferences, speaking engagements, panels etc.)
• Act as the single point of contact for Partners for their marketing-related needs, cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with key Partners of the Practice Groups - understanding developments and ensuring these are promoted to new/ existing clients

Profile

The successful Business Development Manager/ Senior Manager will have demonstrable experience:

• 5+ years in Business Development within a National, preferably AM Law 1-200 firm setting
• A strong understanding of the legal sector - experience working with one or more of the following Practice Groups: Venture Capital or Emerging Markets
• Strategic, business mind, collaborative, hands-on approach
• An ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• A competitive salary range of $145,000 - $220,000 base salary depending on experience, this scale is for estimated 5-10 years experience
