With expertise in digital transformation, machine learning and emerging technologies, we offer a consulting-led, integrated suite of enterprise-grade software products, services, and solutions.The Role: Setting: Hybrid (2-3 per week)Salary range: 115k - 120k What you'll do?We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Manager with a proven track record in hunting new business and driving growth within the Manufacturing, Retail, and Logistics (MRL) sectors. This role will focus on selling digital transformation services, targeting new logos, and expanding the company's presence in the MRL industries. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of digital technologies and how they can address the specific needs and challenges of MRL companies.Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Manufacturing, Retail, and Logistics industries.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive new logo acquisition and increase revenue from digital transformation services such as IoT, AI, cloud solutions, supply chain optimization, and automation.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with C-suite executives, decision-makers, and key stakeholders in target companies.
  • Work closely with internal teams (product development, marketing, delivery) to create tailored digital solutions that address the unique challenges in the MRL sectors.
  • Lead the full sales cycle, from lead generation to closing, including client presentations, negotiations, and contract finalizations.
  • Provide expert knowledge on the latest trends in digital transformation technologies, especially as they apply to the manufacturing, retail, and logistics industries (e.g., smart manufacturing, e-commerce optimization, logistics automation).
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to continuously refine sales strategies and identify emerging market opportunities.
  • Provide regular updates on business development progress, sales forecasts, and pipeline to senior leadership.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • Experience: 7-12 years of experience in business development, with a focus on new business hunting and selling digital transformation services in the Manufacturing, Retail, and Logistics (MRL) industries.
  • Proven success in securing new clients and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • In-depth understanding of the MRL sector's pain points and how digital transformation can address operational inefficiencies, supply chain disruptions, and customer experience improvements.
  • Strong ability to engage with senior leadership and influence decision-making at the C-suite level.
  • Expertise in digital solutions, including IoT, AI, cloud technologies, automation, e-commerce platforms, and data analytics.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-driven with a strong sense of urgency and a passion for achieving results.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with large manufacturers, retailers, or logistics firms, with a deep understanding of the industry's digital transformation challenges.
  • Familiarity with ERP, supply chain management systems, and other digital tools commonly used in the MRL sectors.
  • Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce to manage sales pipelines and client relationships.
