Overview:
Recommend, develop and implement sales strategies for National Builders, representing multiple BU products, with an emphasis on the Evolve product line. Responsible for managing the companys builder programs reporting to the Director, Builder Sales. Stimulating and driving our efforts with builders and contractors specifically focused on higher margin and innovative products including but not limited to Evolve, Load Centers, Lighting Controls, USBs, Smart Products, Wafer Lights and EVSE Products. Ensure that the various key customer locations are assigned to national accounts, while developing new business and growing current business. Ensuring that all aspects of the value chain are aligned with our strategies and channel alignment exists within Leviton while achieving a net sales and profit margin objective for the company.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate efforts between Leviton Corporate headquarters and the National Accounts headquarters. Manage the overall relationship between Leviton and the targeted Builder Customers at all locations if multiple locations exist.
- Work with other Leviton sales team members who may have responsibilities for remote customer locations.
- Educate Field Sales on strategies to work effectively with specific Builders.
- Lead the engagement with targeted national builders to create rebate programs with the input and approvals of the EVP/GM, Residential and the VP, Distribution Sales that improve our breadth of product specification and purchase by the builder.
- Support opportunities managing SaaS providers, which will be critical to expand the WWML (Works with My Leviton) initiative.
- Drive the total business in a positive manner through team building and coordinated efforts of all involved in builder business development.
- Establish annual revenue, product and program goals with the Builders. Hold regular review sessions with the customer to ensure goals and objectives are being met or corrective action is being taken when necessary.
- Promote the total capabilities of Leviton to position Leviton as the preferred supplier of our product offering and first choice throughout the Builder organization.
- Report activities of Builders monthly to upper sales management and the Business Units.
- Coordinate senior management meetings between Leviton and strategic Builder customers for Big Picture strategy discussions.
- Grow the business annually to achieve forecasted sales at an acceptable profit margin for the Business Units.
- Attend industry functions to support Builder activities.
- Plan and optimize use of Leviton LIVE centers to host events for further penetration of the Whole Home Leviton message.
- Coordinate and attend Builder meetings related to Evolve introductions and sales.
- Evaluate business models developed internally and proposals from Builders.
- Evaluate opportunities for Smart product integrations with Alarm.com or other works with opportunities.
- Evaluate white glove service opportunities presented by Builders and support implementation plans.
- Work with our consultants and Leviton project team to evaluate marketing proposals, product requirements and roadmaps.
Qualifications:
- Thorough knowledge of industry standards and practices is required.
- Must be creative, resourceful, able to think independently, provide leadership on projects.
- Must have the ability to make decisions at a management level, while reporting and justifying these decisions to the Director or the Builder Team and the VP of Distribution Sales
- Must be well organized, an excellent time manager and able to handle multiple tasks on an ongoing basis.
- Must have strong leadership skills to promote and build a team concept for servicing the customer.
Education & Experience:
- A Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering
- 8+ years experience in field sales is required.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $130,000 per year
