Minivalve is a young, ambitious, family-owned company founded 25 years ago, with the vision of miniature elastomeric valve components being required for many innovative new products in the market. Customers range from Fortune 500 companies to start-ups all over the world. They are served with Minivalve's range of standard valve components as well as custom designed valves. Once the valves have passed the application development process, customers repeat order them for many years thereafter. The valves are made in Minivalve's plant in Oldenzaal, The Netherlands which includes state of the art, high precision injection molding of elastomeric materials in a clean room environment. Minivalve has sales offices in different time zones, serving its US customers from its sales office of Minivalve, Inc. in Cleveland (Independence), Ohio. We are looking for an Application- and Business Development Manager for our office in Ohio.ResponsibilitiesContribute to the development of the Minivalve Strategic Marketing and Sales Plan by identifying, analyzing and mapping business opportunities.Make and execute your personal Strategic Sales Plan by identifying decision makers within various disciplines at OEM customers (Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, Manufacturing) and consult with them in their specific fields on Minivalve's technical and commercial solutions.Analyze customer needs and assist by offering Minivalve's fluid control solutions. This includes providing products for testing, making technical proposals and quotations, follow-up and ultimately booking contracts/purchase orders.Collaborate with colleagues worldwide to execute global customer strategies.Understand competitive forces and assure adequate measures are being taken to secure Minivalve's interests.Join forces and provide guidance to the Product Development and Inside Sales Team to achieve maximum results.Contribute to the development of business processes, tools, communications and reports in order for the team to operate most effectively.Forecast, monitor and anticipate Sales developments and activities and assure adequate communication with the company.QualificationsA Masters or Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant technical field supplemented with training in Business Administration.A natural curiosity in new technologies and markets.A people person desiring to connect and collaborate.5+ years working experience in technical and commercial fields in OEM components supply, preferably in the Medical Device or Automotive Industry.A visionary, analytical, maybe extravert personality, intrinsically motivated to develop sales.Excellent personal management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.A keen appreciation and value for customer requirements.Regular travel nationally and internationally up to 20% of your time. High personal and business ethics and integrity.LocationWorking time is shared among colleagues in the Sales office in Independence, Ohio, (inter)national travel and occasionally working from home as required.Interested?
