Responsible for attaining established bank and branch goalsthrough active participation in management and officer callingprograms. Frequently participates in community affairs (specifically inOrange County) to increase the Bank's visibility and to enhance new andexisting business opportunities. Develop sales strategies andmaintains and expands referral sources.ESSENTIAL DUTIES1. Demonstrate core values and guiding principles as outlinedin the Bank's Mission, Vision and Value Statements of whichthe following are illustrative:a. Give exceptional customer service to both internaland external customers by providing prompt, polite andeffective communication.b. Participate as a member of the team.c. Positively and proactively contribute to the Bank'sStrategic Plan.d. Demonstrate support of Management.2. Ensure that all activities and work functions adhere tocompliance requirements as are defined in company policies andprocedures as well as state/federal laws and regulations.3. Work independently to develop and solicit new business frompresent and prospective clients to increase revenue base andoverall profitability; including cross-selling products.4. Make calls independently and work collaboratively withlenders/branch officers on prospect calls, using internal andexternal referral sources to assure service requirements aremet and new business opportunities are realized.5. Meet sales responsibilities and goals. Spend time out of officevisiting prospective customers or attending networking events.6. Gather and maintain prospect data.7. Ensure that all sales and customer service reporting informationis provided on a timely basis. Is held accountable for effectivebusiness development activities.8. Submit complete loan applications, with all required signaturesand customary financial documentation enclosed.9. Attend sales/marketing committee meetings regularly.10. Maintain a good working knowledge base of commercial and othercompany products and services, including loan policy anddocumentation.11. Work closely with credit officers when client situations arise andcollaborates with internal partners. Transition on-boardedcustomers.12. Work with credit analysts in reviewing existing credits,communicate credit decisions to prospects and customers asdirected and offer terms and conditions for loans withinparameters of established bank rates and credit policies.13. Work with branch and deposit operations to set up all requireddepository accounts for customers of the bank.14. Implement strategies to achieve goals.15. Attend and implements training provided, directed, or facilitatedby management.16. Attire/present self in an appropriate professional businesslikemanner.17. Promote the Bank's culture and mission with staff, customers andprospects.18. Cooperate with, participate in, and support the adherence toall internal policies, procedures, and practices in support ofrisk management and overall safety and soundness and the bank'scompliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g. CommunityReinvestment Act (CRA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, etc.,including but not limited to BSA and AML (awareness whenprocessing cash deposits, sale of monetary instruments, structureddeposits, and incoming and outgoing wires). Ensure that thedepartment and all personnel adhere to the same.19. Communicate in an effective manner with the Branch Administrator,other office managers and appropriate staff personnel in order tointegrate activities and achieve goals.20. Provide periodic reports to the C-Suite and other groups asrequired throughout the Bank.ANCILLARY DUTIES1. FaxPosition Requirements BASIC QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Training: Education beyond a high school diplomaor equivalent required; associate or bachelor degree preferredand or a combination of specialized banking education andtraining.Skill(s): Excellent verbal and written communication,sales and negotiation skills; self- motivated; extremely sociable,and comfortable working in a high-intensity, ever-changingenvironment. Demonstrates ability to work internally and externallyto manage and grow new relationships; demonstrates experiencecoordinating and collaborating across the organization.Experience: A minimum of four (4) years' experience in the financialservices industry.
