UWorld is currently searching for a talented and competitive Business Development Representative who will be responsible for growing new business opportunities in the UWorld CPA division. The Business Development Representative will collaborate with the Team Leader in growing the business through direct outreach. The ideal candidate will be an expert relationship manager capable of providing demonstrations of UWorld products, hands-on experience with users, and clear explanations of any new or updated products.

Job Qualifications:

  • Be based out of one of the following locations: Dallas, TX, Fort Worth, TX, Houston, TX, Austin, TX, or Nashville, TN
  • Bachelor's degree in science, marketing, communications, business, or relevant field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of outside higher education sales experience required. Education Technology, SaaS or Publishing experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of navigating navigating college campuses and building relationships with both faculty and students
  • Able to demonstrate proprietary software and utilize CRM systems
  • Knowledge of Industry standards & curious about future educational industry needs.
  • Must be willing to travel overnight a minimum of 50% of the time (seasonally)
  • Proven track record of success
  • Experience speaking and presenting in front of large groups.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills; the ability to call, connect and interact with potential customers.
  • Aptitude for problem solving and the ability to determine solutions for customers using a consultative sales approach.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, prioritizing, organizing and time management
  • Ability to work with your team to achieve shared goals.
  • Goal oriented, focused, strategic, and actively engaged in assigned territory
  • Proficient in MS Office or similar software/Working knowledge of IT and marketing software (e.g., CRM, SalesForce etc.)

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Execute on UWorld Goals and Initiatives
  • New Account Development.
  • Research potential sales opportunities within the assigned region to target key contacts.
  • Source new sales opportunities through cold calling B2B prospects from new and existing leads.
  • Work in collaboration with Technical Account Managers to process quotes and close sales.
  • Prospect and build a sales pipeline via multiple mediums (email, phone, trade show leads, face-to-face, and inbound website leads).
  • Set up email campaigns to source additional leads and inquiry opportunities.
  • Manage all post-sales activities, provide support to new customers, and ensure year-over-year retention sales revenue.
  • Work in coordination with the sales and marketing team to communicate and document market insight, feedback, and customer takeaways.
  • Prioritize meetings with decision makers and conduct on-site presentations and sales demos.
  • Conduct webinar presentations.
  • Attends conferences and tradeshows to interact with B2B prospects.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail managing all respective sales activities (notes, follow-ups, emails, call logs)
  • Attend sales meetings, team meetings and UWorld functions
  • Work in tandem with the Marketing team to maintain customer data and market insights.
  • Embrace and adapt the changes associated with a fast growing sales organization.
  • Demonstrate accountability and responsibility by independently completing projects/assignments on time and adhere to UWorld standards.
  • Remains up to date on industry standards and business needs.
