EASTERN TITLE DIVISION Job Description: OLD REPUBLIC TITLE Location: Must be located in the Charlotte area Summary: This is an outstanding growth opportunity for a committed business development professional. In this position you will assume existing accounts but spend much of your time building new client relationships. Your responsibilities will focus primarily on residential and commercial business development in the given area. The selected person will travel to potential clients (by car) to develop relationships at networking events, association gatherings and other creative modes of engagement. Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities and cultivate new client base through marketing activities.
  • Develop strategies to retain existing clients, increasing business and/or market share.
  • Create market presence for Old Republic Title through networking events, Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programs and participation in related meetings and conferences.
  • Respond to client service issues in responsive and timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain client information database.
  • Organize and maintain state-wide event calendar (online).
  • Work with Branch Manager and Counsel to plan and organize CLE events and webinars.
  • Work closely with management team to achieve acceptable levels of profitability and market share and to create new and innovative products and services to offer our customers.
  • Work closely with state-wide business development team members to ensure consistency.
  • Participate actively in state land title association and other trade organizations and stay current with any title insurance or legal issues affecting state operations.
  • Prepare reports and materials.
Other Important Info:
  • Knowledge of the title insurance business with experience in managing all facets of a title operation is required, to include sales & marketing, title production, escrow, finance & accounting, underwriting & claims handling.
  • Must have good analytical, interpersonal, communication, decision-making and leadership skills.
  • At a minimum, the ability to work from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, some evenings and weekend as required
  • Regular consistent attendance is required, that could include attendance at after hour Company events.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of management, employees and customers by email, phone and in person.
  • Must be personable, positive, and a professional representative of the Company.
  • Business entertainment during and after business hours is expected.
  • Position involves some business travel.
  • Incumbent may be required to hold memberships and/or be active in professional, trade, or legal organizations, or in related trade organizations.
  • Valid driver's license, sufficient insurance and good driving record, free of major traffic violations and convictions for moving violations.

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
